Lucite International - Alpha 1 MMA Plant
Project
- This first in class facility comprises a 120kte Methyl methacrylate (MMA) manufacturing plant, utilising Lucite International’s proprietary ‘Alpha’ technology. MMA is an intermediate in the manufacture of acrylic including world renowned brands, Lucite® and Perspex®.
- Faithful+Gould provided project controls, cost, schedule and risk management services, and was involved in all stages of the estimating, procurement, contracting and planning of this project.

The Challenge
- Multi-national involvement, with design in UK, India and Singapore, procurement from UK, US, China, India and Taiwan, contractors from China, Singapore and Thailand.
Outcome
- The project was designed, built, commissioned and completed; on time, safely to budget in December 2008.
