Schering-Plough – Multi-Product Plants, Singapore

Project

This Multi-Product Plant (MPP) is a primary production facility to manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients for new Schering-Plough products including Zetia®, a cholesterol absorption inhibitor. This facility is the key commercial bulk production site for this compound for the worldwide market.

Faithful+Gould was appointed for two multi-product plants, in 2000 and 2002 - MPP1 and MPP2 respectively, as project controls consultants, to provide fully integrated project controls services.

Outcome

The projects were successfully completed on time and within budget.

MPP1 was the first project that Faithful+Gould had undertaken with Schering-Plough in Singapore.

We were then appointed for the second expansion phase (MPP2) and the rest of Schering-Plough's major capital investment projects in Singapore.
