Wyeth ‘Singapore 2000’ Project

The WyethSingapore 2000’ project comprised two independent greenfield facilities from separate business streams within the company:

  • A two dryer infant nutritional manufacturing facility of 45,000m²
  • A pharmaceutical hormone replacement tablet processing and packaging facility of approximately 27,000m²

Both projects were designed with expansion capability and include associated administration buildings, laboratories and infrastructure works.

The Approach

A range of project controls services were provided to the client that comprised:

  • Estimate validation
  • Cost management
  • Scheduling management
  • Asset register development
  • Project management
  • Project administration support services


The Challenge

Both projects were executed concurrently and were let as one package to a single EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) contractor.


Outcome

The projects were successfully completed on time and within budget in late 2001.
