The Approach
We undertook an overall project feasibility estimate to assist with and, using our local knowledge, advised the client design team on construction costs, buildability, and the local market for materials, contractors and specialists.
We also provided advice on the complicated local permitting process, and undertook a full 20 year financial analysis including information for investment calculations and operating costs.
Challenges
The compliation of the estimate was based on a complicated earthquake resistant structural design taking cognisance of the steep profile and restricted size of the site, the ever changing interior layout and specification and the particular location factors affecting design, access, permitting, likely construction methods, sequences, etc.
