The challenges

Key challenges included:

  • Coordination of developer's / landlord's works to suit Harvey Norman's requirements
  • Phasing of the works to allow the early installation of point of sale, data and IT systems
  • Coordinating furniture and fixture deliveries from Australia
  • Fit out programme of just 10 weeks
  • Coordination of Harvey Norman's stocking in period
  • Obtaining landlord and statutory approvals
  • Coordinating utilities connections

Our knowledge of the statutory approval procedure helped Harvey Norman achieve planning permission ahead of the fit out programme.

Our in-house building surveying team completed a schedule of condition surveys for Harvey Norman. We also completed dilapidation schedules for several existing sites.
