Faithful+Gould provided project control services for the Marburg Site Development (MARS), a development worth around €170m, one of the largest of its type in Germany.
The development is a green field manufacturing plant for the production of Rabies and TBE (tick borne encephalitis) vaccines, and a new quality control building.
The vaccines, adjuvants, media and buffer preparation are all produced in a state-of-the-art 'clean room' environment.
The plant uses the latest plant automation and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) technologies.
