Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort, Al Ain

Faithful+Gould has been appointed by the Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort to provide cost management and estimating services to their flagship project: developing the largest wildlife park in the Middle East into a world leading commercially and environmentally sustainable resort.

Established in 1967 as the Al Ain Zoo, the Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort(this is an external link and will open in a new window) has always been committed to animal conservation. The new development will add more than 900 hectares of exhibit space and safaris around the existing zoo and conservation centre, making it the largest site of its kind in the Middle East.

'Deserts of the world' is the theme of the entire development, which will feature many species from around the globe, ranging in size from termites to elephants. In addition to creating housing for a wide variety of animals, plans include the construction of:

  • more than 1,000 residential villas,
  • two hotels,
  • 160 resort villas, and
  • mixed use commercial, retail and recreational spaces.

Progress

Enabling works have commenced. The overall completion of the development is expected to take 10 years.
