Almas Tower, Dubai
The Almas Tower at Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) in Dubai stands at 360 metres.
It is the centrepiece attraction of the 86 towers comprising the JLT development, standing on its own 'island' in the centre of the lakes, and is currently the second tallest building in Dubai.
This stunning building is an impressive 63 storey 'A' Grade office tower with a total built up area of 150,000m². The building is beautifully finished to the highest standards.
The high rise houses the headquarters of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and the world's largest diamond exchange centre, with a three storey podium in the form of eight triangles inspired by the facets of a cut diamond.
The exchange features a glass floor that extends out over the lake area.
The DMCC moved into their offices in July 2008 whilst construction was being completed. The tower was completed for tenant fit out in September 2008 and the occupation certificate was issued in October. A second occupation certificate was issued in April 2009 for areas such as the podium and basements.
