About Mike Burnett
Mike has 40 years of experience in all aspects of project and commercial management associated with engineering and construction projects, commercial property and facilities management. He joined Faithful+Gould in the U.K. in 1986 and transferred to the U.S. in 1998. Mike's career has also included extensive spells in the Middle East and Far East.
The first 20 years focused on supply chain management, cost management and cost estimating, working for both owners and contractors and qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) in 1976. Between the early 90's and 2005, the focus was on general consultancy in dispute resolution and business process solutions for a variety of owners, contractors and subcontractors. Mike became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 1995 and his dispute resolution work has been at both national and international level and includes a U.S. Government commendation.
For the last five years, Mike has largely focused on a corporate role as Commercial Manager for the North American operations of Faithful+Gould. This includes the management of commercial and legal affairs, insurances, risk and the formal management systems for quality, health and safety and the environment, all of which are certified under international standards.
