FeatureProject Management best practice for Northwestern Memorial Hospital

Faithful+Gould is working with Northwestern Memorial Hospital to ananlyze and improve project processes and implementation.

Northwestern Memorial HospitalNorthwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) has hired Faithful+Gould to standardize project processes of multiple in-house project managers, and to develop a uniform process for taking capital improvement projects from inception through financial Board approval.

Our team will:

  • Survey various existing projects and procedures
  • Analyze NMH's specific budget needs
  • Develop a refined and uniform stage gate process
  • Train all NMH project managers and key financial team members on how to budget uniformly and prepare projects for Board review

This standardized step-by-step methodology will prevent errors, provide clarity and create transparency in the project approval process.

This project will be Faithful+Gould's 2nd assignment from NMH in 6 months. Our constructive expertise was previously provided when we teamed with Gensler to develop a database of standards costs for interior finishes upgrade projects. The database identifies various room types and finishes, enabling facilities staff to forecast a cost for an upgrade or conversion from one room type to another.

If you would like more information about this project with NMH, please contact Chris Harris at chris.harris@fgould.com in our Chicago office.
