The Project
A company of Tesco, the largest grocery retailer in the UK and one of the world's leading international product retailers, Fresh & Easy is a neighborhood market delivering local fresh and healthy food to the southwestern part of the U.S.
Fresh & Easy built a distribution and manufacturing center spanning 88 acres in Riverside, California, to coordinate supplying of grocery markets in the region.
Faithful+Gould provided services on the multiple aspects of this $150 million project:
- 400,000ft2 dry warehouse
- 250,00ft2 chilled/freezer warehous
- 100,000ft2 manufacturing facility
- External and interal lighting
- Parking
- Multiple guard houses
- Vehicle wash center
The approach
We provided program management and cost management services for the construction of the distribution and manufacturing center.
The challenge
Concentrated coordination efforts were made to align and maintain the budget stipulations for the various aspects of the facility.
Outcome
The Fresh & Easy distribution centre was completed and operational on October 31, 2007.
