Waldorf-Astoria Hotel - Starlight Ballroom renovation, New York, NY

We provided preconstruction and construction services for the renovation of the 18th floor Executive Meeting Center and Starlight Ballroom at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.

The approach

Our services and responsibilities included project management, scheduling, consultant and end-user interfacing, move coordination, and FF&E coordination.

The Challenge

The scope of work included:

• Architectural and FF&E renovation of the 18th floor Starlight Ballroom and Executive Meeting Center;
• Reconfiguration of food service area;
• Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act;
• Upgrades to the mechanical plant;
• Improvements to circulation patterns; and
• Reconfiguration of guest rooms.

Outcome

The 35,000ft² project was completed on schedule in 2001.
