About Sean Lockie

Sean's 20 years experience covers delivering advice to policy makers, local government departments and private sector developers both within the UK and internationally.

He manages a global team of sustainability professionals. Areas of expertise include the development of sustainability strategies, sustainable procurement, carbon footprinting, and rating tools such as DQI, BREEAM, LEED, CSH and life cycle assessments.

At a policy making level his team has advised the Carbon Trust, DCSF, Crossrail, Partnership For Schools, Home Office, WRAP, the NHS, and CLG. At a local government level he has advised over 20 local authorities on their carbon reduction strategies, and procurement strategies particularly in the BSF market.

For private sector clients he and his team are advising a number of developers and contractors which include: Network Rail; Carillion; Bovis Lend Lease; Sir Robert McAlpine; First Base; Barratts and Barclays; Morgan Stanley; Nokia.

He is working on several zero carbon projects both in the UK and internationally, including a zero carbon city in Abu Dhabi.

Sean is Chair of the Environmental Industries Commission's Sustainable Buildings Group, a columnist (sustainability) in Construction News and Building and participant in a number of the UK Green Building Council initiatives.
