Cost and contract management services in connection with the national Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak.

The approach

  • A national service provision involving all of Faithful+Gould’s cluster offices.
  • Provision of a range of services including cost management, building surveying and claims/contract consultancy.

The challenge

  • Provision of the required resource in an emergency situation, peaking at over 50 staff.
  • Management of an immature supply chain.

Outcome

  • Value management of expenditure on the outbreak and assistance with auditing requirements for Government and the European Union.
  • Construction of a sound supply chain for future animal health emergencies.
