Faithful+Gould is providing cost planning and contract management services for a new 3400m2 rail depot at St Andrew's Drive, Glasgow. The new facility is being constructed for a new fleet of new electric trains.
The project began with demolition and removal of existing structures and will include:

Stabling facilities

Twin headed wheel lathe, including structure

Road access to depot

Shed, offices and mess

Heavy lifting facilities

Revised permanent way/overhead line/isolation arrangement to a significant portion of the existing stabling roads.
Faithful+Gould is undertaking the project in three stages:

Produce an initial benchmark cost estimate for the proposed depot works

Develop a detailed cost model for comparison purposes, undertake a cost risk assessment, and provide supplementary procurement advice

Provide post-contract NEC commercial and risk services
Our commercial team were co-located in the local office at the start of the project, enabling constant communication and collaboration.
The project is expected to be completed in 2010.
