Project
- An extensive mixed use development in Swindon. The scheme includes a library, art gallery, museum, and commercial and residential development. It will form part of phase 1 of the town centre regeneration
- Faithful+Gould were appointed as project managers for The New Swindon Company and Swindon Borough Council on one of the most significant regeneration projects in the South West
The Approach
- Detailed and vigorous briefing is to be carried out with all stakeholders
- Following approval of the project brief, option appraisal of designs will take place in order to produce preferred option
The Challenge
- To construct this mixed used development on a logistically difficult site. The location of this project is extremely complex and is adjacent to numerous existing retail and commercial buildings in the town centre
- The new facility will act as a catalyst for the regeneration of Swindon Town centre and provide the heart to a new cultural quarter
