We provide asbestos management services to ensure protection of both business and personal interests and give guidance on compliance and legislation. We arrange comprehensive surveys, including bulk sampling and analysis, using approved UKAS accredited laboratories, to EN45001.

Asbestos legislation

These obligations require those responsible to identify and handle asbestos-containing materials safely at all times.

The rules are outlined either specifically or indirectly in a myriad of legislative documents, often making identification and understanding of individual responsibilities difficult.

There are specific requirements covering construction, general building management, redevelopment, refurbishment and demolition. Failure to comply may result in prosecution and possible imprisonment. Civil actions may also be brought by those affected.
