BREEAM Assessments

BREEAM is the established ‘green building' rating system in the UK.

Faithful+Gould and our parent company, Atkins(this is an external link and will open in a new window), have been involved in BREEAM since 1998, and have a team of more than 30 accredited BREEAM assessors worldwide.

We are qualified to assess all types of buildings, and have conducted more than 200 BREEAM assessments.

Our BREEAM services include:

  • Formal BREEAM assessments
  • BREEAM preliminary assessments
  • Strategic early design-stage BREEAM advice and guidance.

What is BREEAM?

BREEAM is the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method(this is an external link and will open in a new window), and is essentially a points-based system for rating the environmental performance of buildings.

‘Credits' are grouped under:

  • Management
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Energy and Transport
  • Water
  • Materials
  • Waste
  • Land Use and Ecology
  • Pollution

The number of credits earned translates into BREEAM ratings:

 >25%Pass
 >40%Good
 >55%Very Good
 >70%Excellent
 >85%Outstanding

For further information on BREEAM see www.breeam.org(this is an external link and will open in a new window).
