Construction consultancy for Battlefield Health and Trauma Center
The Medical Joint Center of Excellence and Battlefield Health and Trauma (BHT) center is a major Department of Defense project that will see combat casualty care for each DoD service (Army, Navy and Air Force) integrated into one multi-disciplinary research center and clinical foundation.
Faithful+Gould is currently on site operating the project management office and delivering construction consultancy services for the project.
Leading the way in battlefield health, the BHT center will combine clinical care and research activity. The BHT center will be the only DoD level 1 trauma facility and burn center with support from the civilian community, and it will also have continued collaboration with the university health system.
The project will additionally support establishment of the DoD Medical Joint Center of Excellence that will include:
- Army Medical Research Detachment
- Combat Casualty Research, Bethesda
- Air Force Dental Investigative Service
- Naval Institute for Biomedical Research
- Walter Reed Army Institute of Research Combat Casualty Care
Naval Medical Research Center Combat Casualty Care
This is Faithful+Gould's second project on the site, following work on the San Antonio Military Medical Center
(SAMMC) consolidation project.
