These location indices calculated for North America are current as of January 2015. The factors are derived using industry and market recognized data. All of the indices are weighted to common labor/material splits and adjusted based on their application within historical project data sets with known costs. All factors reflect Washington, D.C. being 100.
The indices are a relative representation of varying locations and economies. Actual costs are dependent on unique project characteristics. A project with a higher labor to material ratio will have a different index than its counterpart. Application of an index to a particular project requires specific analysis by one of our technical staff.
