Taking Our Healthcare Services Global

Christy Ullo
We are providing Initial Outfitting and Transition services (IO&T) at Camp Zama, Japan, for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) – Huntsville has awarded a $6.3 million, multi-year contract to BTF Solutions, a Faithful+Gould joint venture, to provide medical Initial Outfitting & Transition (IO&T) services at Camp Zama, Japan. Building on our constructive expertise of project management, project controls and scheduling, Faithful+Gould has established a portfolio of several Army clinics and hospitals that we have supported.

Having this opportunity to support U.S. Army installations overseas will improve our brand recognition within USACE and allow Faithful+Gould to pursue larger contracts as prime.

David Bailey, Faithful+Gould's Executive Project Manager

The IO&T program offers a total turn-key project support for the equipping and the transitioning of staff and patients associated with new military healthcare and medical research laboratory facility construction and renovation projects to support requirements of the U.S. Army Medical Department (AMEDD). Additionally, the IO&T provides program/project management and contracting support to all AMEDD locations. The following eight services address the multitude of needs and help to ensure that each facility is fully operational to effectively and efficiently support its mission:

  • Comprehensive Project Management
  • Furniture, Furnishings and Equipment (FF&E)
  • Comprehensive Equipment Planning
  • Equipment Purchasing
  • Transition Planning and Relocation Services
  • Warehousing
  • Installation, Testing, and Training
  • Final Turnover and Close-Out

David Bailey, executive project manager, stated, "Having this opportunity to support U.S. Army installations overseas will improve our brand recognition within USACE and allow Faithful+Gould to pursue larger contracts as prime."

Ron Pruzinsky, vice president, added, “This program was a core competency for me before coming to Faithful+Gould. Now entering my tenth consecutive year delivering healthcare solutions I am optimistic in our strategic plan growing the Healthcare and Government sectors.”

Other notable medical IO&T projects that Faithful+Gould has supported include the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC), San Antonio Medical Military Center (SAMMC), Battlefield Health and Trauma (BHT), all located at Fort Sam Houston, TX; Consolidated Troop Health and Dental Clinic (CTHDC) at Fort Lee, VA; and other Army installations in Georgia, Maryland, Missouri, and now Japan.
