Faithful+Gould, along with Atkins, will exhibit at the American Nuclear Society’s annual Utility Working Conference and Technology Expo (UWC). UWC is an annual event facilitating collaboration between leaders in the Energy industry as they address the industry’s most pressing needs. The 2016 UWC will focus on promoting efficiency through innovation with particular focus on nuclear power plants. There will be 10 Tracks over 3 days, offering the latest information in thought-provoking break-out sessions, to tackle the challenges.

Faithful+Gould will be represented by Lead Project Controls Manager Carlos Barrios who will lead a panel entitled, “Applying Risk Management Best Practices in Nuclear Programs or Mega‐Projects.” This will address how construction industry risk management best practices have recently been applied in major nuclear projects, resulting in predictable cost and schedule across the programs or portfolio of projects. Carlos will be joined by Atkins Nuclear Director Nigel Thornton, who will speak on a panel entitled, “Alliancing –The Integrated Project Delivery Model.” A relational based contracting model to delivery improved project performance”. He will discuss a business model known as Alliancing, which has been used in the nuclear sector in both Australia and the UK, as well in the USA outside of nuclear projects. The topic will explore the nature of behavioral contracting as applied to Alliancing and describe the benefits and efficiencies that can be achieved.
