Faithful+Gould complete work on Scotland’s largest school Campus
Faithful+Gould is proud to announce the handover of one of the most prestigious and innovative education projects in Scotland – the Barony Campus in Cumnock, East Ayrshire. Since early 2016, Faithful+Gould provided employer's agent and commercial services on the £68 million, 23,000m2 new build campus. The campus amalgamates five schools into one super campus, creating a learning environment which will inspire children to new levels of attainment from the towns of Cumnock and Auchinleck:
- Barshare Primary School, Supported Learning Centre and Early Childhood Centre.
- Greenmill Primary School and Early Childhood Centre.
- Hillside ASN School.
- Auchinleck Academy.
- Cumnock Academy and Supported Learning Centre.
With a key focus on health and wellbeing, Barony Campus includes 13 indoor sports halls, 3G football pitch, International Rugby Board (IRB) synthetic rugby pitch and polymetric running track. All accessible to the local community making a genuine community campus.
There was a significant drive for Community involvement with children, young people, staff, parents and the local community working with the design team to help develop the design for the campus to reflect the aspirations of the Community, taking into consideration the natural heritage and architecture of the area.
Well done to our project team at East Ayrshire Council, Morrison Construction and Sheppard Robson on the successful delivery of the project.
“The Faithful & Gould Team have acted as Cost Consultants and Employers Agents on the Barony Campus School from early March 2016. Throughout the project Faithful & Gould have exemplified honesty, integrity, and professionalism; demonstrating a real willingness and enthusiasm to become embedded in the successful outcome of the project. By having a clear understanding of the project objectives, Faithful & Gould have added significant value; ensuring their contribution maximises the developments potential to realise East Ayrshire Council core aspirations to the educational learning environment and access to state-of-the-art community facilities.”
