EnviroMission Solar Tower

We are providing local project management and integrated commercial services to EnviroMission for the delivery of its 200MW Solar Tower in Arizona. The solar power station will have the capacity to supply clean renewable energy without using any water to more than 100,000 typical U.S. households, or remove the equivalent of 220,000 typical motor vehicles from the roads, with zero emission electricity.

The Solar Tower is expected to offset one milion tons of greenhouse gases per year and will abate the use of up to one billion gallons of potable water annually – water that is typically associated with traditional power generation methods. EnviroMission has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to sell 200MW of clean solar powered electricity from the first of two Solar Tower developments in Arizona to the Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA). As part of a multi-national project team, led by Arup (Australia), we are providing staff augmentation support services in aspects of both project and cost management of the Solar Tower’s development from the concept design stage through to construction and project operation. This iconic Solar Tower is expected to reach a height of more than 2,500 feet and have a solar collector nearing a diameter of three miles. Our service delivery began during the summer of 2011 and is ongoing.
