Since 1997, we have been providing project and construction services to Exxon Mobil's Torrance, CA, refinery team. Our services originally included developing new value based contracts for specialty contractors at the refinery. Value based contracts are an innovative strategy that attains best values from the supply chain using alternate procurement routes that apportion risk where it is best managed, resulting in a high degree of cost certainty and optimized schedule performance. Ten years later, these 'alliance' contracts were let on an exclusive basis and are still utilized on general maintenance, capital projects and turnaround work. As we continue to provide services, the current annual expenditure on these contracts exceeds $25 million. Since 2001, we have provided an integrated team responsible for procurement services and contract administration. By working with the client to establish KPIs and tools to monitor the effectiveness of the team, we have provided over $1.5 million in annual savings.
Since 2003, we also administer the contractor safety program, safety indicator collation and reporting, and approved contractor program. Faithful+Gould provided the following services: Construction management, contract development, contractor list administration, cost management, IT consulting, materials coordination, pperations integrity, management system assistance, planning and scheduling, procurement services, risk analysis scheduling.
The refinery has won the Outstanding Safety Performance Award for 5 consecutive years.
