We were commissioned by St Johns Primary School to review a number of property concerns on the school's site. These ranged from leaking flat roofs, collapsing retaining walls and child security concerns.
After review of the site, we advised the school to submit two Condition Improvement Funding applications; one for flat roofing works and another for the health, safety and security (safeguarding) works. We worked with the school and local police department to gather the required evidence to support the application.
We prepared a funding application which identified the acute areas of need, appraised other options available and demonstrated the works could be safely delivered during the summer holidays. The application was successful to the delight of the school and the Trust.
We were then subsequently appointed to manage the works on site, administer the contract and monitor the works to a successful conclusion in time for the start of the new academic year.
