The Peak is an 8 storey purpose built office block located directly outside Victoria train station in central London and completed to CAT A. Faithful+Gould provided cost management services on the fit out of approximately 10,000 sq.ft. of high quality office space in central London to provide accommodation for senior executive staff as part of the client's relocation from existing office accommodation.
Faithful+Gould adopted a different approach to the normal procurement processes and held a design competition with 6 Design and Build fit out contractors based on a set of employer's requirements and a budget allowance of £100 per sq. ft. The contractors were requested to provide competitive costs for preliminaries and overheads along with design ideas. Working in close relationship with the client including the CEO a contractor was appointed on the preferred design.
