Faithful+Gould lead an integrated project controls team, drawn from BAA consultant and supplier partners, with responsibility for: Progress reporting, performance measurement, change management, planning, risk management and cost and commercial management.
The challenge: To work within all levels of the project structure to provide high quality schedule and cost information to support timely and accurate decision making in an environment where a great degree of importance is placed on schedule integration and risk sharing, to engage with all members of the team, to ensure that the team worked together to achieve a common goal.
The project controls team works as a seamless, fully integrated organisation, exploiting complementary expertise to deliver the project controls service. Tools have been developed providing weekly and monthly production and productivity measures, which have highlighted performance gaps, facilitating timely management intervention. Robust cost reporting discipline was put in place, which supports accurate cost forecasting. Timely dissemination of project information to the wider project team. The project controls team has improved the client’s project delivery capability and is recognised as high performing amongst its peer group.
