Through a 5 year cost consulting IDIQ contract, we provided the University of Virginia (UVA) with valuable cost estimating, third party review and value management on a variety of campus projects. Our knowledge of costs and cost drivers coupled with our ability to lead collaborative teams to generate creative alternative ideas provided the UVA with new tools and information to build better projects. We worked with the UVA's internal and design teams on projects located on the main campus in Charlottesville as well as the campus at Wise. The Virginia Capital Outlay Manual served as a reference and format for all projects.
We conducted extensive value management studies and provided valuable cost advice at the schematic and preliminary design phase for multiple facilities, including: The Arts Gateway to the University, the Alderman Road Student Housing Phase II, smiddy Hall Renovation/Information Technology Wing Addition, college of Arts and Sciences Physical and Life Sciences Research Laboratory, information Technology Engineering Building, new Cabell Hall Renovation and Modernization and the Rugby Road Administration Building.
