LEED Gold Ceremony for Faithful+Gould’s Project in Suzhou

Faithful+Gould provided LEED consulting, and testing and commissioning services for The Summit.

Tishman Speyer's Managing Director, Global Co-Head of Design & Construction, Bob Pratt, and Managing Director, General Manager of Shanghai, Micky Leung, were presented with the prestigious LEED Gold certificate by the President & CEO of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Mahesh Ramanujam, at an award ceremony held on 17 November 2016 for their Suzhou The Summit development.

Located in the heart of Suzhou Industrial Park’s Central Business District, The Summit is a 116,390sqm landmark mixed-use urban development, comprising 57,204sqm of international grade ‘A’ office space, 35,144sqm of shopping centre, and 21,867 sqm of luxury residences.

The development was designed and constructed to LEED Gold requirements. Some of the sustainable designs employed included:

  • water efficient fittings and fixtures 
  • rain water recycled for sewage conveyance 
  • energy efficient building envelope 
  • high performance glazing 
  • high efficiency chillers 
  • indoor carbon dioxide concentration monitoring system 
  • fresh air heat recovery 
  • variable primary pump system for the chilled water system 
  • water-side free cooling in winter

Led by Chris Li, business manager of Faithful+Gould Energy and Environmental Services (EES) in China, Faithful+Gould was appointed by Tishman Speyer to provide LEED certification advisory services, and testing and commissioning consultancy services.
