Faithful+Gould supported Infant Jesus Homes & Children's Centres (IJ Homes) badminton tournament, as part of our CSR initiatives.

Following our fundraising efforts to provide basic items to IJ Homes last year, we were also able to use the remaining funds to support their recent badminton tournament. About 50 children from IJ Homes took part in the match, held on 22 June 2016 at Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ) St. Nicholas Girls' School. Upon arrival in the morning, the school's indoor sports hall buzzed with the children's boundless energy and laughter. After all, it is the event that they've been waiting for!

The friendly competition was formatted into singles and doubles categories for both the lower primary and upper primary children. It continued till about noon and concluded with a prize-giving ceremony for all participants. We provided gift packs consisting of stationery such as pencil cases, coloured markers and pencils, pens, cute cartoon stickers, exercise books and journals, as well as water bottles, pouches, and card games.

Sandy Ang, head of the centre (IJ Homes - Galilee Centre), commented: "We're appreciative of Faithful+Gould's continuous support. The children had a ball, and they were so happy to receive the prizes! The badminton tournament was not only a form of entertainment for them, but it also taught them life skills such as leadership, teamwork, patience and good sportsmanship."

"We are pleased to be part of IJ Homes' event and are committed to lending a helping hand in the lives of less fortunate children..."

Daniel Ng, Faithful+Gould Senior Cost Manager

Daniel Ng, senior cost manager and vice-president of the corporate social responsibility committee, added: "We are pleased to be part of IJ Homes' event and are committed to lending a helping hand in the lives of less fortunate children – making a difference in their lives even if it’s just bringing laughter and smiles with a bag of goodies."
