Faithful+Gould was initially engaged to assist in the procurement of a design build data centre contractor. The scope included input and evaluation during the bid process, negotiation with the contractors to ensure that the client's specialist requirements were incorporated with the building design, and keeping the capital expenditure as low as possible.
Through our experience with similar appointments, business intelligence and database of the material specifications, the team achieved an eight percent reduction of the overall construction cost.
The client subsequently engaged Faithful+Gould as client representative in the implementation of the 30,000sqft data centre construction, monitoring progress, cost, change management, quality and project risks to ensure the end product is a 'fit for purpose' Tier 3+ data centre.
Our role was later extended to oversee the delivery of their new Asia headquarters, located in the data centre building. The project attained LEED Gold certification and was handed over to the client on schedule.
Project delivered by Confluence, now part of Faithful+Gould.
