Guests to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) can now look forward to a brand new concept of green dining experience, in a stylish "windows & lights" setting in the new Congress Plus. With a seating capacity for 300 dining guests, Congress Plus commands one of the city's premier waterfront locations with picturesque views across Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong's spectacular skyline.
As the project manager appointed by Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd. (HML), Faithful+Gould led the entire refurbishment of the 20,000 sqft restaurant from commencement to completion. The project scope entailed renovation works to the common areas including lift lobby, reception, circulation space; main dining halls; private dining rooms; food stations for Chinese, Japanese and Asian/Western food; and the bar area.
Our team was involved in the project planning, management of tenders, consultant appointment, site supervision and project cost control as well as ensuring the restaurant met the regulatory standards set by local authorities. Congress Plus underwent a fast-track eight month comprehensive transformation and today, boasts a high quality chic interior décor designed and built to comply with local and international sustainability requirements.
Faithful+Gould worked closely with a green design consultant employed by HML, who wanted Congress Plus to confirm and reflect the company's corporate commitment to sustainability on every level.
