We have been working in partnership with our client, Apex Circuit Design, to deliver project management support services for the construction of the Kuala Lumpur City Grand Prix circuit.
The circuit, 3.3 km in length and adjacent to the iconic Petronas towers, was granted an FIA Grade 3 licence and played host to a number of International Race Series with a demonstration headline event featuring 5 cars from the V8 Supercars headlining as part of a 5 year deal with the promotor. Other series that visited the circuit for this inaugural event included Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Formula Masters and, unique to the KL City Grand Prix, the KL GT City Cup.
As head of our Malaysia operations, I’m delighted that our expertise in project management is being recognised outside of our traditional centres of excellence in Malaysia, which has to date focused on corporate real estate and industrial schemes. Our team is proud to be part of such a major event in Kuala Lumpur.
The project is one of many that we have collaborated with Apex Circuit Design on, and is a result of our reputation following Faithful+Gould’s successful delivery of the Singapore GP circuit.
Dafydd Broom, Design Director of Apex Circuit Design said, “Apex are pleased to be associated with such a fantastic and ground breaking project. Our event delivery team consisting of Simon Gardini (Director of Gardini) supported by representatives from Faithful+Gould, have worked tirelessly to ensure that this complex and multifaceted event is delivered in record time. The support we have received from Faithful+Gould has been exceptional and we look forward to working together in the very near future."
