Our Hong Kong team has successfully completed the fit-out and relocation of KGK Diamonds’ headquarters from Chevalier House to its new premises in Peninsula Square, Kowloon.
KGK is a leading manufacturer and wholesaler of diamonds, gemstones and jewellery with operations in Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and North America. The diamonds division currently holds the much coveted Sightholder status, an exclusive accreditation for the bulk purchase of rough diamonds given by the Diamond Trading Company (DTC)—the sales and distribution arm of the De Beers Group, which is the single largest producer and purveyor of rough diamonds in the world.
In mid-2013, we were engaged to provide project and cost management services, to lead the D&B contractor and oversee the delivery of KGK Diamonds’ new 20,000sqft office. The project encountered complications along the way, which our team were quick to identify and rectify. What could have potentially delayed the project significantly was reduced to only two days EOT.
Applying expert planning and management, the project accomplished practical completion in line with the D&B contractor’s completion date, which included the EOT. Furthermore, through best-in-class cost management techniques, we achieved a remarkable 30% savings for the client
