A confidential client is considering the development of a nuclear economic simplified boiling water reactor (ESBWR) power generation project in Texas. It will be a significant multi-billion dollar project, planned to be completed in a 60 month cycle. 18 months will be given to design and development and 42 months to project execution.
The client has entered into a development relationship with a joint-venture contractor. The contractor is preparing an estimate that may be used as the basis of a business case for the project and the foundation for a possible incentive contract. We are helping the client to review and validate the estimate, and to complete the business case. The second phase of our support will involve project control activity to manage risk and opportunity.
