Faithful+Gould provides the University of Stirling with a state of the art facility and further cements their status as UK Sports University of the Year 2020
Faithful+Gould is delighted to announce the handover the new Sports Redevelopment project to University of Stirling. Providing Project Management services, the project included a mixture of new build, demolition, extension and refurbishment work which brings together disparate buildings into one new state of the art facility.
The building provides a new focal point entrance and facilities include purpose-built studios and gyms, three-court sports hall, indoor cycling studio, dedicated strength and conditioning suites and sport science laboratories and assessment rooms. The main gym area is located within a central circular drum, providing panoramic views out across the University campus and beyond.
Through this project we helped the University realise their aim of enhancing Scottish Sport by providing a unique environment whereby Olympic medallists train and compete. The university has a large user base, ranging from general public, staff & students to sports scholarship students and elite athletes. Therefore, it was critical that business continuity was maintained and disruption minimised.
The University was awarded ‘UK Sports University of the Year 2020’. This was testament to the hard work undertaken to maintain the University’s high standard of sports delivery.
Well done to our Project team, it has been a great team effort to seamlessly deliver this project, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic.
