A Focus on Life in Qatar

Have you ever thought about taking the next step of your career in Qatar? Our new video shows what it’s like to live and work there.

We’ve interviewed colleagues for a new video which sheds light on what it’s really like to live and work in Qatar – while also banishing some popular misconceptions.

Doha, the capital of Qatar, is a cosmopolitan place but is generally considered more conservative than the UAE, particularly Dubai. Qatar has spent the last 10 years developing its global profile and is spending billions on infrastructure development which will transform the country and its identity.

All these projects are driven first and foremost by Qatar's National 2030 Vision, and as such, there is strong momentum behind them to support the state's long term economic growth and diversification. There are fantastic opportunities to work on complex and prestigious projects, which make this one of the most exciting places in the world to work.
Qatar is a welcoming country with a strong community feel. There’s loads to keep people occupied, from big sporting events, art exhibitions, dune bashing, history museums, camping in the desert and music concerts.

Just like majority of the Middle East, the culture is very much rooted in the country’s Islamic foundations, and everyone can visit its beautiful mosques or play their part in occasions such as iftar feasts, which take place during the holy month of Ramadan.

Expats from all over the world are made to feel very much at home in Qatar, and as long as you’re respectful to all people and their respective cultures and customs and dress modestly, you will find life in the country to be a very rewarding experience.
