Imperial College London Diabetes Centre Phase 2

Faithful+Gould provided project and cost management services on the second Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC Phase II) in Al Ain. The state-of-the-art healthcare facility was constructed following the success of the first ICLDC (Phase I) in Abu Dhabi. Founded in partnership between Mubadala Healthcare and Imperial College London, both centres specialise in diabetes treatment, research, training and public health awareness. Spanning approximately 65,000 sqft, ICLDC Phase II houses a combination of examination and treatment rooms, assessment rooms, doctor’s offices, a pharmacy, laboratory, auditorium, cafeteria along with space allowance for future expansion.

The project was successfully delivered within an extremely aggressive eight month construction programme under budget, whilst still achieving very high quality. Additionally this is also the first Estidama Pearl-rated construction project in the UAE to achieve a 2 Pearl Estidama Rating (Abu Dhabi’s environmental rating system). Faithful+Gould managed the project through all stages of design, procurement, construction and commissioning, to final handover.

*Project delivered by Confluence, now part of Faithful+Gould.
