Building the Next Generation Business Professionals

Faithful+Gould’s Next Generation Business Development forum draws to a close with a successful networking event held at RICS HQ in Parliament Square.

Faithful+Gould places a lot of emphasis on the development of its staff, not just those coming in on our graduate programme, but across all levels.

Over the last year our London and South East (LSE) region has been running a series of workshops and training sessions helping our junior management staff with their business management and business development skills.

The climax of this successful programme was the Inaugural Summer Rooftop Drinks Reception held on 13th August at the RICS headquarters in Parliament Square. The event was a great success, and a reflection of the enthusiasm of the group as it was organised and hosted by our Next Generation members as the final part of the course.

The Next Generation Business Forum was initiated following feedback of a gap in those wanting to develop their careers towards a business development role but unsure of the next steps. I was involved in organising the programme, it’s heartening to provide a course that has already seen a real tangible benefit to its members, from seeking out and attending other networking events, to holding greater responsibility in bidding and taking greater care of their client’s needs. The summer reception was not planned at the start of the course but its success and future Next Generation Business Development activities that follow could ensure it’s an integral part of the LSE event calendar.
