This year’s conference discusses how the legal framework based on the Localism Act 2011, and the concept of localism is interpreted by different cities and asks ‘what does this mean to the Construction Industry and residents of Bristol’.
The key note speaker for the event is the Mayor of Bristol, George Ferguson, who is Chairman of Ferguson Mann Architects and former Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) president.
Additional speakers at the event include; Simon Cook, former Bristol City Council Leader and former Lord Mayor of Bristol and James Durie, Director of Chamber and Initiative for Business West.
There will also be a Q&A debate, which will feature several panellists including, Alastair Sawday Founder of Avon Friends of the Earth, Vice-Chair of the Soil Association and Nick Sturge Director of The Bristol SETsquared Centre and past Chairman of the Bristol branch of the Institute of Directors amongst others.
