Faithful+Gould at AUDE19: Mastering the Higher Education Storm

Jaime-Louise O'Donnell
The Association of University Directors of Estate [AUDE] are calling for Challenging Thinking for Challenging Times at their annual conference taking place this year at Lancaster University, where Faithful+Gould, part of the SNC-Lavalin Group has been helping to deliver Phases 1 and 2 of the Engineering Building located right on the spine of the campus.

The theme of this year's conference is Mastering the Storm: Challenging Thinking for Challenging Times. Held over three days, AUDE 2019 will take place from 15th - 17th April, and is designed to update delegates with a key focus on the current challenges, changes to Higher Education Policy and the wider political environment.

Faithful+Gould will again be exhibiting at this conference, with the theme centring on how Designing for people is at the heart of what we do. Our close alignment with our higher education clients, along with our deep understanding of current and emerging sector pressures and challenges, have allowed Faithful+Gould to develop services and digital tools to help our clients Predict the future, supporting effective strategic planning and operational life cycle management, alongside the capital delivery of projects. We create an effective interface between planning, operational and estate goals, working with clients to Optimise their Estates budgets, expenditure and the student experience, all of which demonstrates that Faithful+Gould are looking beyond the project life cycles.

Faithful+Gould has served clients and worked with industry bodies to deliver outcomes and support the development of efficiency initiatives. However, the overriding messages are that we are in a period of uncertainty and change. The sector is strong but needs to plan carefully and with a level of innovation to secure the future.
