Investors in People is the national standard which sets out a level of good practice for training and development of people to achieve business goals.

Chris Marsh, HR director, commented, "Individual offices have previously had IIP status but this is the first time it has applied right across our business. Enabling our people to develop their full potential is fundamental to our approach and to maintaining our reputation as an innovative industry leader. This year alone we will spend up to £1 million on training as well as funding 30 plus BSc students."

Faithful+Gould manages major development projects for organisations operating in the transport, property and industry sectors from inception to completion, offering a broad range of commercial services.

The company is a member of WS Atkins plc. It is one of the world’s largest project and cost management consultancies, employs over 2,000 staff and has a turnover in excess of £100 million.

The Investors in People Standard was developed by the National Training Task Force in partnership with leading national businesses, personnel, professional and employee organisations. It provides a national framework for improving business performance and competitiveness, through a planned approach to setting and communicating business objectives and developing people to meet those objectives.
