Faithful+Gould Awarded Single Supplier Framework by University of York

Hannah Hardman
University of York has appointed Faithful+Gould as single supplier on its employer’s agent and cost consultancy framework.

The University is in the early stages of planning a major redevelopment of the Heslington West Campus. This will be at least a 10 year programme of work. It will involve demolition and replacement of the CLASP accommodation and facilities, major refurbishment, modernisation and reconfiguration of much of the remaining estate and enhancement of the mains utilities services. As the successful consultant, Faithful+Gould will play an important part in assisting the University’s estates development team in developing the capital plan for this challenging redevelopment.

Mark Allan, regional director, comments, "This is an exciting time for the University with competition for students increasing and the need to provide 21st century facilities which enhance the student experience. University of York is an extremely important client for Faithful+Gould. We have a long and successful track record delivering projects at the University over the past six years and are very excited to be supporting the University with their future development programme over the coming years."

Gary Ashmore, head of estates development at the University, added, "As you would expect the tender process was very competitive and the standard of submissions was extremely high. The philosophy behind the decision to appoint a single service provider was twofold: [1] to have a single provider who is capable of applying both the local knowledge learned through the delivery of the University’s projects, and is able to channel a wealth of experience into delivering the services to the University. [2] To be an extension of the Estates Development team, working in partnership with the University.

"We are delighted to have Faithful+Gould on board for the next few years to support the University’s exciting development plan."

Gary Ashmore, University of York's Head of Estates Development

Faithful+Gould’s submission and presentation demonstrated not only their knowledge and history of working with the University, but a strong track record in the higher education sector delivering projects for numerous Universities across the region and nationally. We are delighted to have Faithful+Gould on board for the next few years to support the University’s exciting development plan."
