Faithful+Gould is celebrating after three members from its Cardiff office received awards and professional qualifications.

Rhodri Meredith has won the prestigious BCIS Wessex Award for his outstanding performance following the completion of a BSc in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management. Rhodri was the only student in his year at the University of the West of England to be presented with the award.

Since joining the company in 2004 Rhodri has worked on a variety of projects in South Wales for a range of clients including Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust, Cardiff County Council, North Glamorgan NHS Trust and University of Wales Swansea.

Commenting on his success, Rhodri said: "I am delighted to have received this award and had my hard work recognised. My next goal is to achieve chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)."

Simon Chiffi and Jerome Edwards have both completed the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) with the RICS, earning them recognition as chartered building surveyors. All three have achieved their awards through studies undertaken as part of Faithful+Gould’s structured training and staff investment programme.

Simon and Jerome have both worked closely with government clients and the private sector during their time at Faithful+Gould. Simon is training to be a commercial energy assessor and is skilled at carrying out building condition surveys and specifying, scheduling and managing the execution of building works. Jerome is currently working with Modern Housing Solutions to provide a condition survey programme across 44,000 homes for married service personnel in England and Wales.

Commenting on his qualification, Simon said: "I am delighted to have completed my APC. Achieving chartered status opens so many doors and will enable me to take my career at Faithful+Gould into the management arena. My colleagues at Faithful+Gould have been extremely supportive; they ensured that I was thoroughly prepared for all the assessments."

Jerome added: "I feel extremely proud to have achieved my APC. Since achieving chartered status I have been able to take on additional responsibility and work on more challenging projects."

Niall Sloan, director for Cardiff and Swansea comments: "These awards and qualifications are fantastic achievements and testament to the hard work and commitment the staff in Cardiff have put into their studies and work. I would like to wish them all every success as they progress with their careers at Faithful+Gould."
