At the prestigious Building Awards 2012, Faithful+Gould last night walked away with one of the evening’s top awards, being crowned Construction Consultant / Surveyor of the Year.

The award is one of the most hotly contested, with Faithful+Gould beating off competition from Davis Langdon, Gleeds, Turner & Townsend, Sweet Group and Rider Levett Bucknall. As the judges commented on the night, Faithful+Gould was the stand-out, strongest finalist, and “an excellent example for others to follow”.

Faithful+Gould won the award for its strong financial performance across both the UK and overseas markets, winning new work throughout the Middle East region, and in France and Germany. It has also capitalised on its traditional strengths in such sectors as nuclear, property and petrochemicals. The Building judges were particularly impressed by Faithful+Gould having 70% of its current work as repeat business.

“The award speaks volumes, not only about the importance of building client relationships within our industry but, ultimately, in delivering world class outcomes to these clients.”

Jon Sealy, UK managing director

Jon Sealy, UK managing director, said: “It’s a great achievement to have won this award, particularly with the judges noting it was an extremely strong category. The award speaks volumes, not only about the importance of building client relationships within our industry but, ultimately, in delivering world class outcomes to these clients. It is also testament to the hard work our team has put in, for while we work on some amazing projects with brilliant clients, we are equally proud of our staff.”

The Building Awards, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane, brought together over 1,300 of the cream of the industry to celebrate best in class projects and companies, attended by chief executives, directors, clients and partners from across the built environment.
