Building upon an already strong relationship with the social housing provider, the project in Haydon Bridge, Northumberland will see Faithful+Gould providing substantial project management and quantity surveying support on the £600,000 scheme.
With work on site well underway the finished project will comprise eight homes to rent from Milecastle Housing and four private flats, developed by the main contractor for the scheme, Property Design Matters will be developing the private dwellings to add to their own portfolio. Project completion is expected in February 2006.
Working as part of a framework agreement, the consultant’s in-depth knowledge of housing corporation standards and requirements will be utilised to provide a hands on management control and monitoring role to the scheme. Faithful+Gould have also carried out Housing Quality Indicator (HQI) assessments and will be monitoring the project against a series of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
This is the first project Faithful+Gould have carried out for Milecastle Housing since they became part of the NEET Partnership, a consortium of four local Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) comprising Newcastle & Whitley Housing Trust, Enterprise 5 Housing Association, Endeavour Housing Association and Milecastle Housing. The consortium is one of the principal development partners established to deliver new and refurbished housing in the North East.
Overseeing the project, director Martin Round commented: "We are delighted to be working with Milecastle Housing again.
