Faithful+Gould has achieved OHSAS 18001 certification across all 25 UK offices.

Project and cost consultant Faithful+Gould has gained certification to OHSAS 18001, the globally-recognised specification for managing health and safety.

Faithful+Gould is one of the few companies in its sector to have achieved triple certification – OHSAS 18001 for health and safety, plus ISO 9001 for quality and ISO 14001 for its environmental management systems.

It has achieved OHSAS 18001 certification across all 25 Faithful+Gould UK offices, and is now rolling out its health and safety management system to its US and Asia Pacific offices.

Director Alan Stinton said, "We were keen to demonstrate to our staff and our clients that we place a very high priority on health and safety in the workplace and achieving recognition to this Standard is acknowledged as the international benchmark of best practice in Occupational Health and Safety management. Essentially, OHSAS helps in a variety of respects -- it helps to minimise and control risk to employees, to continually improve health and safety management performance, it demonstrates diligence and provides assurance. The benefits for everyone in the business can be substantial."

The company was independently assessed for the occupational health and safety standard by Lloyds LRQA. Faithful+Gould provides a wide range of health and safety services to both clients and contractors in the construction industry, including planning supervision, health and safety training, workplace regulation assessment, advice to contractors and the provision of safe systems of work.

"As health and safety experts within the construction industry it is important that we ourselves are working to the highest recognised standards across the globe," said Alan Stinton.
