The Stockton office of worldwide project and cost consultants Atkins Faithful+Gould, a WS Atkins plc company, donated cash, T-shirts and caps to support Joanna Donaldson's charity trek along the Great Wall of China.
Joanna, a dietician who lives in east Yorkshire, was among the walkers who undertook the trek on behalf of Diabetes UK. She raised just over £1,000 and as a group Diabetes UK raised an amazing sum of £50,000, which will go towards research into this potentially life-threatening condition.
Atkins Faithful+Gould Regional Director Ian Mackenzie commented, "We were delighted to be able to play a small part in helping such a worthwhile charity as Diabetes UK".
Operating at the forefront of the construction and property industries for more than 50 years, Atkins Faithful+Gould is growing from strength to strength on a global scale and was recently awarded the 2002 Building Award for Surveying Practice of the Year.
