Faithful+Gould Helps Acorns Grow

Associated with new beginnings, Easter is the perfect time for Faithful+Gould to announce that their new charity partner for 2008 is Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Faithful+Gould employees, based in the city-centre, chose the Midlands charity after deciding it was a worthy cause, providing much-needed help to life-limited children and their families. Faithful+Gould will now support Acorns throughout the year by holding a range of fundraising events, with the first opportunity to raise money being the New Starters Drinks, traditionally held in April.

Gordon McDonald, director at Faithful+Gould, comments: "Each year we ask employees to choose a charity from a shortlist and this year, Acorns proved to be an extremely popular charity to support because of its fantastic work across the region. We are now looking forward to a successful period of fundraising at our various events and hope to be able to present Acorns with a generous donation at the end of the year."

Robert Jinks, regional fundraising manager at Acorns, said: "We are absolutely delighted that Faithful+Gould has chosen to support Acorns Children's Hospice by adopting us as their charity of the year. Acorns relies on fundraising for over 80% of its income, and it costs us around £6 million per year to fund our three hospices and our round-the-clock care and support for over 600 life-limited children and their families. Corporate support such as this is vital."

Last year, Faithful+Gould supported Birmingham Children’s Hospital, raising significant funds for the cause.

Acorns Children’s Hospice offers a network of care to life-limited children and their families across the heart of England. Acorns has three hospices situated in Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester.
